Hash Brown Casserole Semi-Homemade



Ingredients
1 large bag of hash browns
1 lbs of crumbled breakfast sausage
2 cups of shredded cheese
1 med onion diced
½ large green peppers diced
8 large eggs
 5 oz can of evaporated milk (not condensed)
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp seasoning salt
Pepper to taste



Directions
Preheat oven to 375
Spray or grease casserole dish
Put the hash brown in the casserole dish and put into preheated oven for 10 minutes after you are done with the potato’s lower the oven to 325.
Cook the breakfast sausage until brown
Pull the meat from the pan and use the oil to sauté the onion and pepper. 
Drain the onion and pepper
Beat the eggs with the evaporated milk
Mix the potatoes, sausage, peppers onions and half the cheese
Pour the egg and milk mixture over the top of the potato mixture and mix
Top the casserole with the rest of the cheese
Bake at 325 for 30 minutes.

This is a great Gluten free recipe and it is easy to play with.  This in only the basic one we use.

  5. My brother makes this and makes a crust on top using corn flakes and shredded cheese. I like recipes like this that are easy to prepare and have a "homemade" taste! THANKS!
